An entertaining novel, fast paced and enjoyable. I enjoyed Kaireen's antics in trying to get rid of her betrothed. Her red headed temper and straight forward actions left no doubt as to what her mind wanted. Too bad her body betrayed her every time she got wrapped up in Bram's arms.

Bram was a man of the times, a warrior who went after what he wanted and when he saw Kaireen, he knew he wanted her. He admired her beauty and even more her spirit, picturing the children they would have and the fun they would have making them.

Events conspired to bring danger into their lives and brought home to Keireen how dear Bram had become. NOT that she would give in gracefully!

The only issue I had was that for some reason I thought Bram was from Ireland and Keireen somewhere else! From the names of the neighbors, I assumed Scotland! It could be that Bram was referred to by a clan name rather than Viking most of the time, though that was mentioned. It was probably just me! Definitely worth the read, especially if you like medieval tales, treachery and love. Viking Fire had some cool facts mixed in about that time also that made it that much more fun!
